This is a recreation of my current smartphone, the Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G. When getting this phone, I had to settle for a white color variant (which is still very pretty) since the color "Aura Glow" from the Note10 was not replicated on this one. I decided to model the phone for fun and thought i'd explore holographic materials as well. I came up with a node for Eevee that works perfectly. It can be customized to be any color shifting ramp, I just happened to have it set to be holographic. The phone model itself has fully modeled camera lenses and was textured in Substance Painter. The camera lenses have a plane on the back with a node similar to the Holographic one to simulate how camera sensors look. The lenses themselves are squished spheres with a Transmission value to give that warping reflection glass effect. The texture set is 4k to ensure maximum detail on close ups. The Flash and Laser Auto Focus sensor are both textured.
It was very fun to model and it served as a learning experience as well, what's not to like?
Holographic Material on the frosted glass in action. The colors are shifting as the camera pans, just like real life holographic finishes.
